Blue Jay, apparently an out-cross of Comtesse de Chambord (see Filet Beans), is a fairly early producer of flat green pods some streaked with purple and some without, and it is known for its sweet flavour. Seeds are blue-black streaked with tan with about a third of the seeds tan with dark streaks. Thanks to Shirley Bellows for sharing this seed with us. Variety not yet stable. Expect some variability in appearance of pods.
