A sample of this beautiful lentil came to us from a seed saving workshop attendee in Lac La Biche, AB. The person didn’t know the name of the variety so we have simply named it after what it looks like, a beautiful green planet swirled with blue marbling. A small seeded lentil, probably originally cultivated exclusively in the Puy area in the Auvergne, a volcanic area in the center of France.
