This is a medium sized black chickpea producing reliably in our short season. Chickpeas or garbanzo beans have been grown for centuries as an important food staple rich in protein, B vitamins and calcium. Plants grow to 2’ with numerous inflated pods each holding one or two charcoal black seeds. Seed as early as possible in the spring.
