Many Alliums self-seed fairly readily and we were not careful enough with our A. angulosum patch so other alliums grew into it and it became difficult to harvest pure seed from it. We started over again with fresh seed and in 2025 we harvested our first seed from this new patch. Mouse Garlic is harvested and consumed in the spring in its native Russia. The narrow flat leaves are bent at the middle rib (hence angulosum). Round mauve flower heads blooming mid-season.
