Cross Gentian or Star Gentian is an upright perennial to about a foot tall native to Europe and Western Asia. The intense blue flowers have four petals in the form of a cross. It is a tough little plant as Jim has moved his from BC to Humboldt to North Battleford without any apparent ill effects.
