Penstemon - Slender Beardtongue

Jim found a lovely clump of Slender Beardtongue growing in a ditch at St. Peter's Abbey. This is a slender plant about 1' tall with a dense, interrupted terminal spike of dark blue flowers. Cold stratification is helpful for germination.
